Welcome to The Shed Club. By using our service, you agree to these terms. We've tried to keep them clear and fair.
What The Shed Club is
The Shed Club is a supportive weight tracking app for small groups of friends. It's designed for accountability and encouragement, not medical advice. We're not healthcare professionals, and this app isn't a substitute for professional medical guidance.
Your account
- You need a valid email address to create an account
- You're responsible for keeping your account secure
- You must be at least 18 years old to use the service
- One account per person, please
Using The Shed Club
Do
- Be supportive and encouraging to your Shed members
- Log your weight honestly (the only person you're cheating is yourself)
- Respect others' privacy settings and choices
- Report any issues or bugs you encounter
Don't
- Share others' weight data outside your Shed
- Post harmful, abusive, or inappropriate content
- Try to access other people's accounts or private data
- Use the service for any illegal purpose
- Spam, harass, or bully other users
- Attempt to circumvent our security measures
Content you create
When you post content (messages, photos, etc.) in your Shed:
- You own your content
- You give us permission to display it to your Shed members
- You're responsible for what you post
- You can delete your content anytime
Sheds and membership
- Sheds are private groups — only members can see the content
- Shed admins can manage membership and settings
- By joining a Shed, you agree to share your weekly changes (according to your privacy settings) with other members
- You can leave a Shed at any time
Health disclaimer
The Shed Club is not a medical service.
We don't provide health advice, diagnoses, or treatment recommendations. The app is for tracking and social accountability only.
If you have concerns about your weight, diet, or health, please consult a qualified healthcare professional. If you're struggling with disordered eating or body image issues, please seek appropriate support.
Service availability
We do our best to keep The Shed Club running smoothly, but we can't guarantee 100% uptime. We may need to perform maintenance, and things occasionally break. We're not liable for any losses resulting from service interruptions.
Changes to the service
We're always working to improve The Shed Club. We may add, change, or remove features at any time. If we make significant changes that affect you, we'll try to give you advance notice.
Account termination
You can delete your account at any time from the Settings page. We may also suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
When an account is terminated, we'll delete personal data according to our Privacy Policy.
Limitation of liability
The Shed Club is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we're not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United Kingdom. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of England and Wales.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We'll notify you of significant changes via email or in-app notification. Continued use of the service after changes means you accept the new terms.
